What about the Yakima Valley's "areas of greatest need?"
A gift to the YVCF Unrestricted Fund recognizes that the challenges of Yakima County communities will change, over time.
Contributions to the Unrestricted Fund will be used for good...for ever. Because the prioritized "areas of greatest need" will change over the years, it is crucial that the foundation has flexible resources to impact emerging needs.
By giving to the Unrestricted Fund, donors entrust the Yakima Valley Community Foundation with the selection of promising projects to receive grant funding through a competitive process based on community needs. As with all of the Foundation’s funds, distributions are made in the name of the fund or anonymously, as the donor wishes.
